A little while ago we had this little kitten show up. At first it wouldn't let us get near it, but the poor thing was hungry. So I fed it and planned on capturing the little bugger to take it to a no kill shelter.

Well, I changed my mind. I figured we'd go ahead and keep it, but only for the outside. I just had to convince Mom, the kids would be easy.

It turned out to be a he. It took me three weeks before he would let me touch him. But he did, and he then decided to adopt us. He was a nice little guy, and he grew kinda fast, just about doubling his size in a month.

I went to get my haircut, and he was in underneath the van. I never saw him there, so I didn't know. I drove off and took care of business. When I came home, Ella was looking for him. I helped, but we couldn't find him. Mary Ann found him around a half a mile away. She couldn't tell if it was him or not. It was...

Man I feel horrible.... I wanted to give him a break... This just f#cking blows...

That is very sad. Sorry to hear of the accident. One of mine was sitting in the fan blade one time when I started my car up. Paws and tails everywhere. I know how you feel.

Bummer man, sorry to hear - I am a huge cat lover. About two years ago me and my women were eating dinner in the summer and a jet black kitten wondered into the house out of no where- could not be more than 5 weeks old. 2 years later his name is Salem and weights 18lbs.
I have Bodcat hybrids, one at 29 lbs female and one at 37 lbs male. One of my other expensive hobbies.

Thanks. Ella is taking it ok, for being 8. We kinda had this thing with him, it was our secret that we were going to keep him for a while.

It was instant. I could tell, no blood. That is some consolation, if there could be any. That and knowing it had a good gig and love while he was with us.

Man, that is awful...and I know what it's like. Many years ago Dad had to make a late run to the store, he had no idea there were six kittens camped out in the engine compartment of that old Mustang. 'Nuff said. Hope the kids don't take it too hard.

    Anthony,

I know we have our differences, but man that sucks.

We had kittens and they love it up there. It happened to us a couple times, even when we would blow the horn. It's the worst feeling, but there's nothing you can do so don't blame yourself.

    Sorry man.
