MM12 Sub Grille

Has anyone experienced the MM12 (enclosure) hit so hard the woffer hits the grille? I've been thinking of taking mine out because I'm concerned that if it hits too hard it will do exactly that and blow my sub. Please let me know if you guys think its a good idea or not to remove the grille.

    yea...i had the same problem...i took mine off and dremeled em out
    you might want to call polk about taking the grill off...it might void your warranty
