also, the local shop has" I have 2 pieces of Sylvania US made 5AR4 with the big glass bottle"
These are $60.00/ea

from the dealer, that seems kinda high? is it?

    I don't know if you've checked it out yet but the the Tubestore has a bunch of tubes at reasonable prices.
    SDA-2a, Anthem Pre-2L, Anthem Amp 1, MF A324 DAC, Rotel RCD1070

    Save up for a Mullard 5AR4. They're considered the BEST available, can take a lot of abuse and will last a very long time. A lot of people have been using theirs for over 30yrs.

    Derick and I buy our tubes from thetubestore and have never had a problem.
