    couldnt find anything
when i first open up dvd shrink to burn
    it says:
this dvd appears to be RCE protected
if you correctly specify the region for which this dvd was intended, dvd shrink will remove the rce protection

if you leave the rce coding unmodified, this dvd will not play in a region-free dvd player or a player with region code other than the intended region

when i burned it...i clicked specify region, then USA, Canada
i dunno if that makes a difference?

I suspect that model does NOT play DVD+RW's ... In looking at the details for GE players I don't see any that do ...

I am using a KHypermedia DVD+R burner $100 plus 100 free DVD's and having no trouble what so ever burning movies. I have done over 50 in the last 2 weeks or so. Gotta love Block Buster for their Unlimited Rental for 14.95. I use DVD shrink and only leave 5.1, it works fine in 2 ch mode for my Sony and Mit DVD players. I only record the movie nothing extra unless it all fits. The only reason i am doing this is incase BB burns down and i will have backups for them. This is not for personal use or sale:)

it says **** on the file, i click it...it says please insert sonic disc...i have 2 from dell...put in one...didnt work...put in the other...didnt work
i called dell...talked to one person who sent me to another...24 minutes later i talked to him...he does not deal with XPS systems so he sent me to another...1 minute later while i was on hold it hung up on me
im pissed--im calling dell again in a little while so i have time to cool off before i rip someone a new one

I'm sure Dell will help you out if you just explain that you had to backup **** and now it won't play...

DVD shrink works fine for me, so unless you took something out that you shouldn't've, it should work for you. The fact the the drive that burnt the DVD will not read it tells you that it's not a media compatibility problem. The disc is a coaster, plain and simple.

It should. Try DVD Decrypter or check your program version. Did you get it from dvdshrink.org?

Have you tried with more than one disc? Try DVD Decrypter, it usually rips better than DVD Shrink (although I haven't had to use it for a while).

are you compressing the DVD at all. You will get that error is you excede the amount of space on the blank dvd. Always leave it to automatic on the movie.

Shouldn't do that if he is putting it into HD first. Also the original disc might be unreadable.
