SL3000's killed the upgrade bug

Just went through the upgrade bug, but didn't end up with much, see below. Upgraded surrounds from Polk Mini Monitors to FXi30's from MReeter. A nice improvement!

Bought LSi7's to try as home theater fronts, but wasn't impressed. Just not dynamic enough, that was my impression with the Yamaha RX-V795a. Moved them out to a 2-channel setup using the HK3400, a 35-watt receiver equipped to drive 4-ohm loads. I'm sure the LSi7's could sound better, but they're certainly satisfying with this receiver. So I assume more awaits me if I upgrade amp later.

Tried a handful of current line RTi's and compared against my RTA 11TL's. Just couldn't find the right fit. The new line was too hissy with my Yamaha receiver. In the end, the imaging and the overall balance of the RTA 11TL's won out. The sound of the SL3000 just couldn't be beat. If only the RTA 11TL's were prettier - don't have vintage look, or new sleek lines, just a big black box.
