combining channels

Alrighty folks. Here you go. I'm planning on building a sub but the driver I have only has a single VC. I already have an amp, parts to an enclosure, 120hz XO, etc; I need to know how to combine the left and right channel without frying something.
This will be for a 2-ch rig (for now).
I refuse to buy a plate-amp for this project.
I ain't gonna go and buy an SVS, so don't bother.

Assuming you have a set of preouts, just use a Y adaptor to combine the signal, and feed a mono amp with it.
Depending on your needs, I've got a decent BGW mono.

Russ,
what don't you have? lol -
Is that it? It won't be a problem to hook the 2 +'s together? I figured I'd atleast need to thow a resistor in there somewhere. Thanks.
I've got a couple of spare amps that can be bridged to fill the void for now. Even a para' and a graphic to add to the mix for attenuation and blending. Thanks though. I'll keep you in mind.Make it Funky!
