Item For Sale: Polk Audio RTi70

Color - Black

Comes with Manual (if I can find it, pretty sure I can), original boxes and original packing

I will not add anymore packing to these speakers as I dont have any to spare -- so I will work on the original packing and maybe a lil bit more to reinforce it, but that is the best I can do for them.

Anyway, there is a slight scratch on the top of one of the speakers, very light scratch about 4 or so inches long - not even really noticeable until u are right on top of it....

Other than that, these speakers are in great condition -- no other blemishes that I know of...

So with all parts (spikes, detachable rubber feet, manual, etc etc etc) - 300 + Shipping.

I will also do local pick up -- cash only if local pick up, 28023 is the zip --

So you can figure shipping for 2 packages about 45-50 pounds each from 28023, which will be 80-90 dollars.

    Don't mention "negatives" that don't need mentioning. It makes it sound like your selling a damaged item. It goes without saying that you're not responsible for shipping damages; I would delete that part of your add...

    Yeah I woulda took em outside and took pics...but they were already boxed up (that and I didnt have a camera on hand)

    I mentioned the blemishes to be honest on the auction, thats all - if I didnt say anything about it, I'd get negative feedback...

    But the scratches are VERY light...not even noticeable if u dont know they're there...

    About the shipping, lets just all say it - POLKS PACKING SUCKS

    I put thick plastic, 5-6 layers infront of the drivers in the box and used the original packing....

    Box is to big to dump packing noodles in there...

    I dunno, I am very reluctant to ship those things man...almost dont want them to sell for that reason.

    Oh well, I deleted the shipping thing but left the note about the scratch --

    Hopefully I can move these things out and move in my new speakers and preamp...

    Sid, you'd be better off not shipping them. i cringe every time i have to ship anything like speakers or amps, or receivers.. anything heavy is prone to get damaged.

    see if someone is willing to pick them up from you instead.

    I know man...

    It's not that I wouldnt ship them, it is the packing that Polk gives you....

    I dont have the packing materials laying around to put around the speakers inside the box.....

    Oh well, I doubt they will sell...

    If they dont, I will have one smoking computer system...I tell you what

    When I sell other items, like amps - etc, I pack them to survive an atomic blast, but the RTi70 boxes are way to big....

    Of course you always mention existing damage, the point I was making was about the shipping damage. It gives the add a "bad feel" if you know what I mean. When I read it, If I didn't know you, I would immediately think that your trying to unload something that doesn't work, and disguise it as potential shipping damages...

    When I get those larger definitives in there, it wont seem so small though (hopefully)....

    I saw another pair RTi70's sold on ebay for 290$ + shipping with dent on one coner a couple days ago.

    Sid,

    300.00 shipped is a fair price, mine were in very good to mint condition, but the scary part is the packing and shipping. Sid, you can get 2 bags of peanuts in the boxes if you move them around, the foam tops and bottoms are a little flimsy, and I would dare say if you go the cheapest shipping route you will run a greater chance of these getting damaged, spend a little more on shipping and save yourself a big time headache!
    Hellotheworld, if you buy Sids, then buy the one that Sami has you could go 70's all around, that should sould sweet.

    I have enough to do one box....but that would be about pointless...

    The person that wins, I will ask them if they will want to pitch in more money to purchase more packing materials to add, if not they will be shipped with original packing, original boxes, etc etc

    As the auction says, ships at buyers own risk...

    Chances are, I will ship them through USPS - they take pretty good care of packages, I have found...

    and plus I think I can get rid of my CSi30 very easily but for R50's I doubt...

    Well Polks packing, by far is sufficient enough...for the bottom and top - my main concern are the sides.....

    Sid, either your reserve price is too low or your BIN is too high. What's the incentive as a buyer to do a BIN ($300) when the price (currently $240) is already meeting the reserve? Personally, I tend to take the BIN and mark it down a bit for the reserve......but no way in hell I'd have a $60 gap or more.....

    240 + 60 dollar shipping (300 shipped) or 360 shipped

    I don't list anything without a reserve......the last thing I'll ever do is lose my **** on something i put up there. I'll typically put the reserve at acquisition price plus a bump.....BIN goes up from there....

    ah, I like to do fair prices...

    and not to mention the RTixxx line has the worst resale value out of anything I have ever owned.

    It cut more than in half in price...

    It sold for 800 a pair.....and now sells for as little as 250

    When they were closing out, I bought a pair for $200, shipped it up on Ebay and sold them for $400 plus shipping......i'll miss those opportunities with CC....;)
