Hey all. I've about decided on the Polk/MOMO MMC5250 speakers. I hate to keep asking about all the different equipment I'm gonna get, but I thought I'd run this by ya one last time. The Fit Guide on Polk's site says that they'll fit in my '95 Jeep Cherokee. I'm still lost on where to mount the tweeter, but I guess I'll figure that out soon enough.

Does anybody have any other suggestions that I should look into for speaker options? Anything? How about on tweeter placement? Thus far I've thought about 1) q-forms, 2) in the A/C vents, 3) in the doors. The q-forms and A/C vents are out. So, please check out the pics of my doors again (at other end of above link) and tell me if that'll be horrible. Can't I angle the tweeters so as to get a pretty decent soundstage? Any other thoughts?

    Excellent choice on speakers!! The new Carbon components rule!

    If you stick the tweeters in the doors it wont sound bad. You will be able to aim the tweets towards your ears so you wont be missing out on any frequency response. The only drawback is that your soundstage will be low but other than that youll be ok.

    actually, on the soundstage issue with door-mounted tweets: i have mine mounted practically on the floor, and i used to have them aimed right at my head - imaging was great, but the stage was roughly at the level of my HU in my dash... i tried pointing them at the roof above my head (perhaps 6" above where they're aimed now) - and it raised the stage more than a foot! now it's right on top of the dash; there's a track on one of eminem's CD's that begins with some back-and-forth panning of a spraypaint sound, and it sounds like some jackass is spraypainting my dashboard!
