Wire Length

I've heard it said before that the length of the wire to each of your speakers should be equal (or at least to each of the speakers in a pair, IE your fronts should be equal, your rears, etc). Has anyone found this to be at all important?
I'm using 14 guage wire at the moment, and just moved my room around so the receiver is on the side. I originally had it in the center, so both wires were of equal length.
Thanks.

If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Not true at all. You want to keep the lengths as short as possible, but having them all the same length is complete bs. Just run the wires to the speakers and forget about it.Graham
