High price? I bet we see this box set street for under $40, $35 is my guess. But, even at $45, for such an awsome trilogy, is not high priced.

Seeing A New Hope on my 85" screen in DD 5.1 will be price-less.

The Star Wars set on DVD will kick-****. Really kind of peeved that Lucas didn't use the opportunity that DVD affords to provide us with both the original and "special" editions, though. Parker and Stone (South Park scribes) really made a good point when they poked fun of Lucas and Spielberg in asserting that films belong as much to the public as they do their creators. At least Spielberg had the presence of mind to provide both versions of ET when he **** with the original. Lucas's apparent attempt to rid the world of the original editions is really a regrettable development. Regardless, seeing these films, such as they are, in gloriously clear widescreen with THX mastered DD 5.1, will be spectacular.

You can pre-book the set on Amazon.com for $41.99. One can even get free shipping, but their super-saver shipping is ridiculously slow. I imagine that's about the best price you will find. Costco may be a couple dollars cheaper, but Amazon is usually about the cheapest you can get.

Well worth the money and I can't wait - the sound and picture should be amazing.
Funny how all the THX bashers will be running out for this one...;)
    If i were a THX basher - I would just plead the 5th - fella's - plead the 5th....
G.L. better put new THX trailers on the pups.

It's the movie, not the soundtrack that is leading me by the nose on this one. ;) The THX in this case simply comes with the territory.

You know George Lucas. Don' t think about it and he will release it. You know that this has got to be a doozy to out shine the others! Be patient my friend, the best is yet to come. When? I don't have a clue.

Episode 3 is due out Mid-May of next year. The original plan was to release one every 3 years. The teaser trailer should be in Nov/Dec with the full trailer in April.

I will be buying the box set original trilogy when it comes out. Who won't?
