I have an Onkyo 601 model. What is the best setting for my RTi10 towers as far as bass setting (-12 to +12)? This system also has a psw505 sub that is turned up about 2/3 of the volume.

    Set bass at zero.

My 505 worked best with the subwoofer volume knob in the 12 o'clock position and the subout on my onkyo at +2. crossover at 80Hz

That is exactly where it is set right now, but my crossover is at 100Hz. What will 80Hz do for sound as opposed to 100Hz?

Bringing the crossover down from 100Hz to 80Hz will give more bass to your speakers (20Hz more) and less higher frequency bass to your sub. Subs handle bass below 80Hz best, plus it won't make your sub work so hard. 80Hz is the standard crossover for HT setup.
