Hooking 2 amps together?

I have two Polk/MOMO MM12's with the Polk/MOMO enclosures that came with it. I was originally running a MTX Thunder 421D amp to both and it was nice (considering it was my first sub system). Then I decided to spend a little more and read some reviews about the Polk/MOMO C500.1 amp. I was deciding between the Polk/MOMO amp or the Kicker KX400.1 but decided to get the Polk. So I got the amp and boy did it make a difference. It hit cleaner and louder than the MTX I got.

Now the main question. I noticed for the Kicker amps, they have the ability to link up two amps together for more power. Can the C500.1 do that too? I'm the type of person who doesn't like to replace things if I don't have to. If the C500.1 can't link up two what would some of you suggest?

Other setups I was thinking about (replacing the C500.1):
1. Kicker KX600.1
2. Polk/MOMO C350.2 x2 (one for each sub since it's 550x1 @ 4ohm)
3. Add another Polk/MOMO C500.1 (for my other sub)

Other possibilities with other brands too. Not something too high end but nothing cheap. I lean more towards the power side but I like some clarity as well. The car I have this in is a 1998 Mazda Millenia with a Kenwood KDC-MP425 deck. Thanks for the help.

Well, the MM12 is rated to handle 500 rms and you should try to get as close to that as possible without going over or you wont be getting the best performance out of your Momos. However if youre wanting to get another amp you could get a 2nd 500.1 and youd be getting 350 to each, but youll be missing out on 200 extra watts by only running at a 4 ohm load. This isnt necessarily a bad thing though as the amp will only be working at half power and thats always a good thing.

However, if youre wanting to buy another amp I will recommend this MTX Thunder801D. Since youre already aquainted with MTX you already know they rule! They are built like tanks and make tons of clean power. This one is rated at 400x1/800x1 but knowing MTX's rep for severley underrating their amps, Id bet this is at least 450x1/900x1 which would be real close to the MM12's optimum power needs. At $500 its a great deal.
