Took three weeks in a new house to finally connect my HT. (not new, just a bit larger) Within that three weeks and having too much time on my hands, I upgraded my CSI3 to a 5 and upgraded my RTI6's to 8's. I had to wait for the electricians to come in and run speaker wire for my surrounds and rears underneath through the garage and up the side and rear walls.

I was concerned about two things: The room was too large (17X27) and had cathedral ceilings, and I was using 4 FXI'3 for surrounds and rears.

I hid the sub, Vel CHT15, behind the TV and probably is least 22 feet away from the seating area. Anywhere else, the monster would have stuck out like a sore thumb!

Can't tell you how pleased I am with the results. The bass fills the room with little drop off at the seating area at volume level 4. The FXI's sound great with decent seperation. I just watched the Last Samuri and thought someone was walking accross my roof that I jumped off my seat. (The part with the sneak attack at their camp).

I'm running to Blockbuster to buy a few more DVD's!!!!

I do based on the price I paid. I paid 199.00 for the 3 at CC in March. Sold it for 160.00 last week and bought the 5 for 249.00 at electronicexpress.com

Although I never heard the 3 in the new house, I assumed that the 5 would be a better fit. I don 't think I would have paid 399.00 though.
