Also looking at ordering the tweeters from here.

Looks like parts connection. They are legit.
You can use a piece of solid copper (think 22 guage)/for jumper.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists. -
I'm not going to argue with anyone who has had good results with the 0.5 Ohm (god forbid), but assuming that Polk knew what they were doing (pretty good assumption I'd say), it is indicated by the schematic itself that they took away a fuse that we know from datasheets was 190 mOhms resistance and added a polyswitch. when they did that they reduced the 2.7 Ohm tweeter resistor to 2.0 Ohms. So they basically removed 0.9 Ohms of resistance to compensate for the internal resistance of the polyswitch. The thing is, we don't have the early schematic that shows the fuse although we know they went from the fuse to the polyswitch. Did they also go from the SL1000 tweeter to the SL2000 at the same time they added the polyswitch? Anyways, carry on. People that omit their polyswitch when they upgrade the XO usually also omit the SL2000 and go to the RD0194-1. I would do what people here have been happy with which is the 0.5 Ohms, and yes you can just use a 2.5 Ohm resistor and 1 resistor is half the price of 2. Having said that, if you think there is even a slight chance you might want to do the TL mod for the RD0198-1 tweeter in the future, which I know people here have said is superior sounding to the RD0194-1, then do the 2 resistors (see schematic I uploaded from vintage speakers section).
Regarding the tweeters, see if you can get them direct from Polk and ask them for the forum discount. Others will weigh in on whether they still offer that and how much it is. Make sure you say RD0(Zero!)194-1 or else they may tell you they don't have it when they do.
Soniccraft.com (two c's) has the Vishay Mills 12W resistors on sale:

@xschop it's parts connexion. Thanks.

@Gardenstater thank you for the link. I plan on switching to the RD0194-1 tweeters. I did enquire with Polk and after getting the runaround about the tweeters not fitting because I had the 1000 tweeters and saying that I was a member of the forum finally received a quote.
It was a pleasure speaking with you today. As you requested, here is the quotation for a pair of RD0194-1 tweeters.
Gross Amount: $120.00
Est. Freight: $19.00
Tax: $7.20
Net Amount: $146.20
Seems to me that it's the going price from speaker exchange, Midwest speaker repair, ebay, etc.
Also at the same time I'm going to install the metal tweeter plate modification. -

Wow. No discount for you (tweeter N azi). You have the SL2000 tweeters according to the photos you posted. That has the same faceplate size as the RD0s and xschop billet ones.George / NJ

That's what puzzled me. They asked me for photos which were the same I posted here. Then proceeded to tell me that the RD0194-1 wouldn't fit because I had the 1000's. Basically back in forth but refused to quote me a price, they closed out the ticket at first. Then reopened when I re-enquired about just getting a price quote. After more back in forth I finally received a price. I was kind of letdown when it wasn't any better than online. Oh well.

Is this right that there is no forum discount any more? @SeleniumFalconGeorge / NJ

@Grabber70Mach are you in the USA ?
-
Sad part is they don't know an SL1000 from SL2000.
Did they try to sell you a soundbar?Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists. -
@pitdogg2 I live in Southern Maryland. I always thought it was the USA.
-
@xschop I agree, I'm not the smartest tool in the shed, but.... if they could've seen the look on my face.
No, thank goodness. -

Okay yes, yes it is LOL. I thought maybe you were from Canuckistan (Canada), They would then point you another direction. Depending on the hour of the day Polk CS may have been a call center and clueless. If it wasn't during normal business hours 9-5 your time try again and maybe you'll get actual Polk CS. -
The 12uF should be a CSA, while the 33uF could be a PX as the 12 matters a lot more than the 33.Political Correctness'.........defined

I can say this about the 5B's with 194's and the billet RD0 plates. You will be hard pressed to hear a difference between a Clarity PX or CSA cap on the tweeter network.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.
-
OK. Would this selection of capacitors and resistors be a better route to go?

-
I'd stick with all Clarity.
Edit: I see that Parts Connexion doesn't carry the PX 33uF, so I guess the Solen will have to do unless you want to pony up for the CSA 33uF.Political Correctness'.........defined

I'd go with Jantzen Crosscaps before I'd put any Solen in my crossover. (They are cheaper at Parts-express, but backordered right now 😕)
