SDA SRS Speaker set up help

My home theater room is approximately 25 foot long by 10 foot wide. Went away from carpet because of wife. Now I installed LVP. I took off metal spikes from base of SDA and I am asking.
Do they have to go back on for great sound? Tried last night with washers underneath to protect floor. Cross threaded one of the inserts and gave up. Just have some 1/4” rubber pieces under them now.
First question is are the screw in to base thread pieces available? They screw into wood and are threaded for the spikes. I believe they came stock on speakers.
My speakers came with discs that screwed in to threaded screws on base.
I think that is how they came from Polk.
Cannot for the life of me find where I put them?
After I tackle the floor issue I will probably add some wall treatments.
The covered Owens Corning stuff.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Love yours. D

That room needs smaller speakers. Those being so close to the walls that is going to be problematic IMHO of course. As far as the cross threaded insert, I'd try chasing it with a 1/4"x 20 tpi tap to clean up the threads first. They are nothing special, just a 1/4x20 tpi T-nut. You would however more than likely need to remove the bottom cap.

Agree with Pit. A set of CRS+, possibly 3.1TL's would SDA image more correctly in that room.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

Somewhere I have a picture of those feet. Same ones came with my 15s AFAIK.

Yes the glides are very common. You're more than likely able to pick a set up at most building
centers. Just make sure the thread is 1/4x20. On that floor with glides those cabinets will walk, on my 2.3tl's on very short carpet on a concrete basement floor with no padding my 2.3tl's would move ever so slightly after a good session. Move enough to mess with the stage image, ON carpet. So yes on LVT they will walk from the drivers motions. -
Because of the short cabinet depth, the tall cabinet height, and because a lot of the weight is in the top half the speakers where the active drivers are located they are inherently unstable. Spikes help stabilize the cabinets. The threaded rod insert in the backs of the cabinets to brace the cabinets to the wall were also a good idea but I never saw the need to use them on mine when I was using spikes.
The ones I had came with furniture leveler feet things that went into the inserts. Easier to move them that way but I replaced those with spikes. -
Wondering if they would be better suited placed on the long wall?
Would help with imaging but may still over-power that room.
Would have lot's of bass placed that way. -
I had a pair set up close to the walls in a smallish room and they performed surprisingly well. Of course they turned the room into a big bass drum but they still sounded impressive! Stereo imaging was good but the SDA extension to the sides wasn't there.

Hardware stores like Home Depot, and online sources, carry the furniture leveling feet like the ones that were originally provided with the SDA-SRS but not all of them are in the same thread size from what I remember. Some have their own inserts for mounting into cabinets though.

Agree. Long wall placement would have many benefits. It would place the screen very close to the seating, but that's not always bad. You need to be within ~7 feet of a 65" 4K screen to see the full resolution. I don't know if that would be enough distance to have a good SDA experience or not, which might support a smaller set as mentioned above.
I have my HT system setup on the long wall because it was the only way that worked and I love it. Although, I have about 14' of depth to work with. It ends up with a 10' viewing distance to a 100" screen.
