John Mellencamp

I see that he is touring this summer with an emphasis on his "hits" and more familiar tunes rather than promoting a recent release. Anybody seen him in concert recently? Thinking about making a trip on July to see him but wonder if his voice is "too old" to do his older music justice.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

He's had to modify the way he sings quite a bit for a number of years now because his voice has changed with age, smoking, etc. I would expect him to continue to slow the presentation down a bit and lean on his excellent backing band and singers more so I wouldn't go expecting the same as years ago. He seems to be in pretty good shape for his age so should be a good show. Can't outrun time!

Sadly, his daughter's cancer is back again.
