Hi all,

To connect my SDA-1C's to a non-common ground amplifier (Sansui B2101) I would like to buy an AI-1 cable (Blade/pin). Does anyone have 1 for sale and is willing to ship it to Europe (Belgium)?

    Those are very hard to come by these days. You'd be better off building a Dreadnought anyway. There's plenty of info here on what, where and how to accomplish that.

    Is there anyone who could build me 1 like the original AI-1 cable (box/transformer in the middle of the cable and a blade/pin connector on each end) ? I only have the original interconnection cable and don't want to cut it.

    It would be a waste of time. For one I'm not sure anyone knows the value on the components in the box. We do know that a Avel Lindberg Y236906 Transformer - 800VA torrid is a much easier item to find and build. Most of us have moved on from the pin/blade socket to a speakon connection for much better connectivity. In a pinch you could use binding posts but the speakon prevents hooking it up wrong.

    The Avel Lindberg is the best way to go, but if you wanted to source parts and build an OEM equivalent, here is a link to a pdf by Ken Swauger, Polk customer service rep, now retired. You may have to cross reference old transformer part number specs to a currently available transformer.
