ES55 what crossover should I use?

My AVR does settings by 20s. Curious if I should use 80hz or do 40 or 60?

What did calibration program in your AVR set it at?

A very general guideline is to begin with the low frequency response of the speaker, then double that number and use it as a starting point. For the ES55 the low frequency response is given as 33Hz (we'll assume it to be the -3dB point). So, if that's doubled you would get around 66Hz as a crossover frequency. This is an approximate figure and can be raised or lowered so the end result is a smooth blend between any external subwoofer(s) and the speakers. And F1nut is correct, many modern receivers will set the crossover frequencies as part of setting the calibration.
