Monitor 4, Peerless, impressive with new capacitors

I haven't had previous experience with Polk speakers, but decided to try a pair of early Monitor 4 with the peerless tweeter. Unfortunately when I received them (Ebay purchase) one woofer was no good, and I suspected crossover problems. (Thankfully, 50% refund.) I found a pair of MW5000 woofers in like new condition, and ordered new capacitors for the original Xovers (2 12uf, 1 34uf each). After the repairs, I'm pretty impressed with the sound. I see a pair of 5JR for sale, but from what I read, may not be an improvement in sound. Anyway, quite pleased with the 4s.
