Best way to wire two pairs of XT-15s in series with pS10 subwoofer?

Hi,
I’ve got two pairs of XT15s that I would like to wire in series (to maintain the impedance recommended for my Yamaha R-S202 receiver). I also have a Polk PSW10 subwoofer that is fed by the speaker outputs from the receiver. Would i simply consider the speaker outputs on the PSW10 the same as if they were the speaker outputs of the receiver and begin my daisy chainring from there? Example: left red output on the subwoofer to the red terminal of the first left speaker, then black terminal of the first left speaker to the red terminal on the second left speaker, then black terminal from the second left speaker to the left black speaker output on the subwoofer, then repeat for the right side?
Thanks,
Robert

Hi Robert,
Welcome to the Polk forum. Yamaha and Polk have always been a great combination, so good choice!
It's probably not necessary to connect the speakers in series, just connect them as speakers A and B. Individual speaker components, such as woofers and mid range drivers, can be connected in series, but complete speaker systems with crossovers aren't amenable to a series connection. If you feel you want an 8 ohm load when operating two pairs of speakers in parallel then a suitable resistor could be added to raise the load. But, it probably isn't necessary with this combination.
As to the subwoofer, any connection that gets the signal from the receiver to the subwoofer is fine. Two pairs of wires going from speaker A to the sub then connect another pair of wires from the sub to one of the pairs of speakers.
