F1Nut, thanks for the heads up on these. I am in the queue. Besides someone possibly beating me to them I am having a problem trying to ship these to Toledo. has anyone ever shipped these. The carriers all say the weight is too high. Do you combine the weight or seperate?

They will need to be crated and shipped with a trucking company.

Hoosier21 has had good experiences with one or two trucking companies, perhaps he will chime in here.

    Cheers,

This may be a case where the obo offer is higher than the asking price, and well worth it.

My guess on shipping is probably $300 or more through a freight company.

Seems they're pretty popular these days. The last pair of 1.2s on Ebay sold for $1800 on "Buy it Now" twelve hours after listing. This pair was in Baltimore. I know the guy who sold his and they were in very good condition, but I wasn't the one who bought them.

    UPS forget it.
FedEx ground, maybe if you have to

This is a freight company shipment for sure. If they box them or crate them, the freight company will have the best chance of getting them there in one piece, I have also had good luck with them.

for a quote, you can go to www.odfl.com, put in the zip for both to and from, I would add the weight together, like maybe 300lbs total, use class 100 and get the rate estimate.

There is another good company www.baxglobal.com, I received a shipment from them, but never used them to ship.

I've shipped and received via odfl and have been very impressed with thier service. I think the cost of the crating and the shipping would almost be prohibitive though. Well, unless you are getting a 1st class hookup, like me. ;)

    Wes,

Man, I'd rethink it. If they were local and in good shape, I'd bag them purely as a resale item if nothing else. Plus you could use them until you found the 1.2's. Just my .02

    I hear ya, Troy.

I may have a line of some other desirable audio equipment though, so I'd rather have exactly what I want right now. Plus there's always the shipping hassles...

Xsmi, I used ABF freight to ship my 2.3TL's from CA to MD, it cost me $240.00. Look for online specials from the freight companies, calling on the phone will not get you a good rate.

Wes, if Xsmi doesn't get them you should. I promise you will not be disappointed in the least bit!!!

I sent an email to the guy to see if I could at least physically check them out. If none of y'all opt in, I'll step next in line and see if there's anywhere i could possibly shove these into my place.....i DO have a new amp on the way that would run them nicely......
