Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Why didn't he just buy an SACD player with RCA outs and a built in DAC that could decode the SACD or the PCM layer?
He made things way too complicated for himself. Hook it up to his vintage gear and whalla! SACD sound without the confusion. He may have had to stop the CD in order to switch back and forth between layers, but that would have given him a quick hookup, and it would have enabled him to switch between the layers.
As far as sound? Sometimes I wonder why they even bother with and SACD layer. I have heard CD's that rival or top SACD's and vice versa. It more so boils down to the recordings and mastering themself, rather than the format. It's somewhat the same when it comes to streaming 24bit or high-rez. It also depends on which "version" of the recording is offered.
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Don't you just love clueless YouTuber folks. Coming late to the party without a clue, not nowing anything about DSD compatibility or the chips that decode.Post edited by pitdogg2 on

SACD came out in 1999. 26 years later and along comes that dimwit.Political Correctness'.........defined
