Best AWG speaker wire size for L800s

I just bought a pair of L800s. I know, a little late to the game. I had to save up. I also bought a Parasound A21+ amplifier. What is the best size AWG speaker wire to take full advantage of power/sound? I read that 14 is suitable, but then read that 12 or 10 AWG will have more benefits. Is this true?

There is more to it than wire gauge, 12ga would be a good starting point.

You didn't buy basic speakers or a basic amplifier, so why would you want to buy basic speaker cable?

Supra rondo or supra quadrax is a great starting and ending point for alot of systems
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Second Canare as a brand for industry standard stranded basic speaker wire. Belden is similar quality. In terms of just transmitting the amplifier's power to the speakers the length of cables could be a concern but only over long distances such as in very large rooms or when run in walls throughout a home. 14, 12, or 10 AWG would be fine for most home systems.

I've found Blue Jeans Cable Ten White (Belden 5000 Series) to be very suitable for home theater use. Not expensive, durable, high build quality with locking banana plugs.
