Noise.

I do not have a single open outlet on any of my dedicated line outlets or any of my power conditioner/surge protection devices in any of my rigs.
I think I see a slot available...

What can be done about the noise at a live performance? Will a SnubWay help?
If you are listening to a recording of a live event you may be able to hear more of the low level crowd chatter due to the reduced noise floor. In my case I could definitely hear more, "We love you Taylor" from the crowd than before I had the Snubway. Well worth the expense. -
Exactly why I prefer a well recorded studio produced product to a live one, with the possible exception of a live concert where people are there to hear the music and not squeal while it's being played.Yep, my name really is Bob.
Parasound HCA1500A(indoor sound) and HCA1000(outdoor sound), Dynaco PAS4, Denon DP1200 w/Shure V15 Type V and Jico SAS stylus, Marantz UD7007, Polk L600, Rythmik L12 sub. -
If you are short on outlets, one thing you can do is piggy back one outlet into two. If you know where the stud is within the wall, cut the sheetrock to fit two outlets in that spot. Remove the old box and use an old construction box to secure both outlets. Just be sure to pig tail the new outlet with the same rating wire.
For a normal outlet, box and more Romex (The 15' of Romex being the bulk of your cost here - you may be able to buy shorter runs by the foot), it shouldn't cost you more than $30 and about 30 minutes of your time. You can always upgrade the outlet as well, at an additional cost. Alternatively, for those who don't know jack about electricity, you could hire an electrician to do it. FWIW.
The only requirement for these devices is that it resides on the same circuit that the rig resides on.
Oh, and @Polkitup2 is correct. when it comes to the reproductive effort of live performances, the crowd definitely has a more accurate presentation. Lots more detail and you can hear much more individual people (claps and other sounds), rather than just generalized "noise" from the crowd. The crowd also seems to be much less obnoxious, if you will, as well.
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

You missed my point. Taylor...really!?!Political Correctness'.........defined

I got your point completely. My point was meant to be self depreciating humor in response to your humerous post. I guess I failed... Who the *&^% listens to Taylor Swift - lol -
So, is a SnubWay just another name for a ButtPlug? But for your stereo rig?

Yes, same objective but different application. -
Noise. This is something that many of you scoff at. I could care less. You are only holding yourself back, or restricting your own audio journey.
When I am dead and gone? You will thank me for what I am trying to instill upon you.
I am VERY passionate about this and for good damned reason. There are many ways to get there but unless you have NOT heard said noise?
You have no f........you have no clue.

Because I am. This is something I am very passionate about.
People laugh. I could care less about it. When they know? They know.
Until then......

Okay, let's talk. You, yourself laughed at a reference player being inherently noisy. That was a comment by me. You laughed at that.
I stand by my comment years later. When you know....you know.
I have zero (at all) deflections about said comment. Even years later. I know what I hear and it is what it is.

Me thinks some drinks be involved. I think he is talking about his CD player, but the point is lost somewhere in the long convoluted history of Tom's system tweaks. Tom, please don't construe this as a request for clarification. Just let it go and listen.

@treitz3 i understand how noise floor plays in. But I have started to pull back from discussions that can create arguments. Not worth my time. I’ve decided to focus on listening. I’ve taken many measures to “enhance” playback enjoyment but it’s not worth the evangelist approach. If folks want to discuss they can reach out. I deal with a lot of noise while using my treadmill and listening to music. Perhaps I should I go on a quest to lower the noise floor of the noisy treadmill?
Nah; I'll just put on a good cd, enjoy my daily walk and not stress about noise. -
Noise is easily visualized with appropriate toys tools (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer) and thus straightforward to quantify and to qualify. I.e., both the left-brain and right brain or, perhaps better, objectivist/subjectivist perspectives are easily addressed. In other words, what is the source of the noise and what impact does any arbitrary, added gizmo have on the noise (and on what aspect of the noise spectrum is the gizmo having an effect)?
The crowning irony to me -- and the ship sailed so long ago on this that there is no turning back -- is that 40 years ago, when the circuitry used for reproduction of audio (EDIT: and the s/n or dynamic range of the readily-available sources) was inherently orders of magnitude noiser, the world (so to speak) was far quieter (in terms of electromagnetic interference). Today, WiFi, Bluetooth, digital devices, and switch-mode power supplies and PWM amplifiers have saturated "the aether" with noise. Much of that noise is locally created, too.
It is a danged shame that we have to add technological complexity to deal with problems that technology created.

I like music not noise
