Convergent Audio Technologies (CAT) Anyone?

I've recently become aware of this brand, and don't see any mention of them in this forum. Their SL-1 tube preamp has several iterations over the years, with consistent high praise. Any insights?

Talked to the owner last year at Axpona, I had gut pictures of the pre he had displayed. It was a pleasant conversation I found out he winds his own caps for the products. I really tried hard to buy some 😉
