Clarity and honesty in audio.....

Cerwin Vega type crap...

Chris Staplelton, "Cold".

Excellence? Jennifer Warnes...Famous blue Raincoat.

I wasn't there when it became so enamored in audio that every audiophile hates it. I actually like the damned song. It's beautiful and the sonics are awesome.

You wanna hear something old school that you may not have? (No, not for the old school farts that are reading this). Listen to Paul Simon's, " Diamonds on the souls of her shoes". That may knock your socks off.

For those of any age? Listen to "Yellow's" album. Touch. Yes, old school.

Don't post until you are done whack'n yourpud. Only after that, can you add into this discussion.

Seriously....with the love of music there (and in my heart)? Tell me what makes you move mountains within music.

The a cappella beginning of Diamonds on the Souls of Her Shoes (with Ladysmith Black Mambazo), recorded, if memory serves, in one of the Abbey Road studios, is absolutely incandescent. The rest of the song is OK. :|

    OH YEA... :D

I just ordered Yello's "Stella" CD.

Somebody listed their 6 albums from 1 to 6 and STELLA was #1 in his mind. I listened to it an hour ago on my PC system and liked it A LOT! Some parts not so much but they were short lived.

The bass tracks were my kind of liking. Can't wait to hear it on the POLK SDA-SRS2's and the Triton Ones. The Hartley's will play it first though. Then the Newform research towers too.

Did you guys know that's Ladysmith Black Mambazo? I always heard of them, but never knew them, nor realized this was them, here, until talking to @Clipdat Drew last week and looking them up. As soon as I saw a photo of the group, I remembered this video and thought, "Hey, it's Enrico Palatzo!!!"

One of my favorite all time tracks in general, and I agree, best heard loud.

    Same with Def Leppard's Animal.

The Ladysmith Black Mambazo concert last weekend at Zellerbach Hall was wonderful. Super talented singers, very impressive.

Received this email from Echo Audio of Portland Oregon this morning.

Reading it made me wish I could have experienced the stellar evening it is describing with the session with Marantz.

Several of the playlist songs mentioned are certainly worth hearing and complement this thread from Tom, as does the picture of the Marantz Link 10n Network Audio Player.

I saw this show on the original tour back in the 90’s at the old Majestic Theatre in Houston. It was fun, colorful and entertaining
