I’ve also got a universal remote that you’re welcome to if interested. I’ll have to check on exactly what it is, but it’s never been used. I got it several years ago to use with a Dayens unit I think it was, but I could never get it to pair up.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden

I found repairing the volume buttons on the MF remotes was not difficult. I repaired 4-5 of them for A3.2 and A5 integrated amps. The repair does not improve the range of the volume button.
I posted the solution in a thread several years ago, but can't find it by searching. Maybe someone can tell me how to show all of my comments. I only get 50 or so on my searches.
Basically, it used a silver solution to repaint the contact. (Once I repaired the silver trace on the board)
This is something similar:
Conductive paint can be used to repair buttons on remote controls. Conductive paint is electrically conductive and can be applied to the back of buttons to restore conductivity.
When I have more time, I will look for the steps I used. I knew all the details at the time but short term memory is not as good as it used to be. Maybe I need some "silver".
The reason I decided to repair is: I like to have everything that comes with a vintage item available for completeness.
I do remember the hardest task was opening the damn remote case. It requires a mobile phone repair tool or some other very thin tool.
Troy, I've seen two of the MF KW550 Integrated Amps on Echo Audio during the last three weeks and each sold the same day.
