PSW250 starts humming 1 minute after amp turns off

This is a new problem with previously solid set up with no changes. Whether in Auto Off mode or ON mode, the sub starts humming 1 minute after amp is turned off. ( sub tested with different, shorter cable and same result )

    Hello,
Welcome to the Polk forum. When you say, "after amp is turned off" which amp are you referring to? Is your subwoofer connected to a receiver's sub-out connection?
  • The sub is indeed connected to a 'sub out' on a Pioneer VSX102540nvyx6bfj8y.jpeg

I remember something similar to this happening before with a subwoofer humming after a connected receiver is shut off. I believe the root cause is with the receiver's subwoofer out grounding when turned off. A way to test this would be to remove the sub-out cable before shutting off the receiver and seeing if there's any humming.

Never mind, I swapped the Polk Audio sub with another working sub and it also starts humming after 1 minute ( exactly 60 seconds 🤔 ) after Pioneer VSX-925 Receiver is turned off. Conclusion: my receiver is a hum dinger.
