What speaker For Surround Left e right?
Hi all,
I'm new for Forum and also for Polk.
In a 7.1 home theater system paired with a Marantz Cinema 40, I recently purchased a pair of R600s as front speakers, an R350 as the center speaker, and two R100s as rear surround speakers. My question now is what to choose as surround speakers for the left and right sides. They are aligned with the listening position. Due to space constraints, I need to stay within a depth of 15-17 cm max. Any ideas? I was considering the ES10s, but I'm not sure if they match the rest of the setup, or perhaps on-wall speakers from other brands. My budget is around €500-600 max. I also considered R350 in vertical position but it's out of budget and a little too deep.
Note: I live in Italy.
Note 2: White speakers are preferable
BEst Regards Luca

Welcome to the forum Luca!! In my experience, the surrounds don't need to be timbre matched like the front stage should be. I'd recommend grabbing whatever you can afford and give them a try.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

Finally I got Polk Es10 (I found it on sale at very small price: 165€/pair) It's much better than B&W M1 (I tested it side by side) more natural on high freq and vocals. For a small size it's sound impressive.
