I have a PSW505 that is under 2 years old. It surges distorted bass tones with 1-2 second intervals when there is little to no audio playing and if I turn up the music is sounds very distorted. I am running it on an ONKYO TX-NR696. This is my second PSW505. I never had this problem before. The indicator light stays red. I am not hard on this sub. My volume is never higher than 50%. I tried plugging it into another receiver which also has another PSW505 installed and I still have the problem. Any idea how I can go about fixing this issue?

Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood the bass amplifier is defective and needs to be replaced. If you are the original owner and have had it less than three years you should be covered under the warranty. Contact Polk CS at: 1-800-377-7655 and have the date of purchase and the serial number available when you call.
