We went very rustic this year.
BLUF* Very rustic.
Our favorite local Christmas tree farm closed due to the declining health of the owners.
There are other local options, but nature (and my own rather laissez faire approach to property maintenance ) left us with a bunch of scruffy white pine saplings out along the driveway.
The need to be cut down anyway, so I suggested to my life partner here that we could find an acceptable one to harvest if she'd manage her expectations. Well... there are some attractively conical ones out there, but in her estimation the branches were too far apart (and not numerous enough) for decoration. We found one that had acceptable branch density (that's d(branch)/dV, for the engineers in the house), but a somewhat non-conical visage. I proposed trimming it to shape, but there was a counter-proposal because one of us felt doing so would render it too barren.
So...
Yes, very rustic.
Trust me - underexposure becomes that tree. -
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a "Good Grief!"
Everywhere is within walking distance if you have enough time. -
That deserves an "Awesome"!!!

- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
That can't be your tree, there is no puddle at the base of it. Joyeux Noel mon ami! -

This tree reminds me of my grandparent's tree (when they were alive). It pretty much was a broom stick with holes drilled into it with pathetic looking branches. We could see right through the tree, there were so many gaps in it. At the time, when I was much younger, I didn't care what it looked like, it wasn't until I got older and put it up and took it down for them did I realize how bad it was. -

Did not pull down the Big Tree or decorate outside the house we were out of town and we got lazy and bought something small to decorate one of the Dog kennels. Best part is the tear down wont be much, kind of like that.Home Theater
