What is my setup worth??
I recently got gifted a full Polk Audio setup and was just curious as to what the worth of everything would be as a set? I have 2 Monitor 50s, 2 Model M10s, a CS1 center, and a PSW10 subwoofer. Any information would be great thanks in advance!

Bottom of the barrel. I see morons asking $500 for similar low end stuff. If you could get $200, consider yourself blessed.

They’ll sound like more than they’re worth in my opinion. You could put together a decent little HT, especially if you got rid of the Polk sub and added a better one.
I’ve got a pair of Polk R50 that I never sold because I knew I couldn’t sell them for $100 and I knew I couldn’t buy anything better for $100. I recently put them back in my HT and they do fine. Not great, but way better than the TV speakers or a surround bar. I also have an SVS sub, so that makes a difference.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -

I have 2 KLH model 9915 towers with a pretty heavy 300w receiver pushing them, 15 inch subwoofers LOUD......My receiver has the capability of running everything if I watbed just don't have the wire for that right now, may consider keeping to set something up

I'm guessing, Pyle.

I'm guessing he looked at the rear panel and saw 300 watts not realizing that spec is the maximum draw the receiver is capable of.

BTW, the above is rated at 70wpc with ONLY 2 channels driven. They do not provide the specs for all 5 driven, but it Iikely drops to 30wpc if you're lucky.Political Correctness'.........defined

Example;
I am aware that is the maximum draw and not wattage per channel,.....It's an older Denon AVR model 3801 it's actually 735 watts in total -
Your AVR is rated at 105wpc, apparently with all channels driven. The maximum draw is 400 watts.
Still not a 300 watt receiver.Political Correctness'.........defined

The receiver has 7 channels with equal response to each of the 7 channels, (105w)......For a total of 735w of max draw power......Not sure how my original post lead to this "over teaching" but there always has to be that one guy that knows more than anyone .....Not trying to argue specs of receivers this has no informational significance to the original post -
I see my efforts to provide a bit of audio education are not working.(105w)......For a total of 735w of max draw power
That's output, not draw.
Still not a 300 watt receiver as you claimed.

Interesting.

At the end of the day, that's still only 105 to 140 watts MAX per channel.
Yet, you still claim it's a 300 watt amplifier and deride folks who are trying to tell you what is what? This will not gain you any respect. Please re-read what has been typed out for you and pay attention. You might actually learn something.
Some of the folks around these parts have been there, done that and have learned a thing or two along the way. There is no reason to sway you the wrong way.

If this would have been a thread on my receiver and it's capabilities it might of been relevant, but it's the way you approached, you immediately implied that I had no idea or no knowledge of what I was talking about nor doing and that's just not true, I don't know everything about audio and never claimed I did but I'm definitely not ignorant to what I'm doing or what I have......Not trying to sound like a dick here but it's annoying, my original post had nothing to do with any of this -

Like this, because of my original post and my making a mistake on the information I thought I had, it's implied that I "need to pay attention" to learn something......When what was being "taught" to me is information I am aware of and have no need of being taught and it seemed to be done backhanded.....If I needed to be "taught" anything it's not to call my receiver by its max wattage output 🤦♂️.....at the end of the day it had no Informational relevance to the original post -

The intent of what I was getting at with the original interaction talking about the receiver was that i have a high efficiency receiver that would be capable of powering the set up I have.....Even if I made a mistake with the information stated 🤦♂️ -
Good grief dude. Keep it up, you may end up holding a personal record for myself and the fastest person ever to be put on ignore.
Good luck on life. I'm outta here.

I had Monitor 50's some 20 years ago now, They were 99 dollars for the pair from Fry's back in the day. They are not worth more than a hundred bucks for the entire collection you have today...
