Redo audyssey calibration?

I recently hooked up the dimensional cable on my SDA-SRS 2 towers. Without flaming me, is it necessary for me to redo my Audyssey calibration?
Thanks-

Absolutely. You should recalibrate after ANY change.

After connecting the SDA cable don't be surprised if Audyssey alerts you that the speakers are out of phase.

    Guaranteed that will happen.

That’s what I’m wondering… so how should I handle that?

Care to elaborate on that statement?

If I ignore Aud. Then how do I calibrate my system?

Ignore the out of phase notice. That will not affect the calibration program, which should be used as a base line only. Final calibration should be done with your ears and an SPL meter.

With one of these, like we used to do it in the old days…

Still a good reference video for the Radio Shack SPL meter below. Settings should be C weighting and Slow response for home theater. There are many other brands available now. The low cost meters are not super accurate and are somewhat directional in how much sound they pick up but they do tend to be consistently off by a little bit at normal volume levels. I think the Radio Shack meter was to within 2dB accurate at a very high SPL. The idea is get balance across the speakers.
