Hi,

I checked all and so far there is no topic for S60 series of speakers.
Currently I'm using Yamaha AX 596 and wondering to what I could update to receive maximum from these speakers. I use them to listen almost all - 60% rock, 30% jezz, 5% electornic, 5% rap.

I saw several threads on this forum but all of them were for amplifiers costs 10k eur so I have doubts that its necessary for such speakers...

Question what could be recommended by You to get maximum from these speakers ?
Secondly what would be economicaly justified for them with big jump in quality from my Yamaha ?

I’m a big fan of Vincent, though I’ve not run Polks on one. I was also very happy with a Peachtree integrated runnning my LSiM 703. Also had a lower level Cambridge Audio that was fantastic for the price. Many good choices.

You'd probably need to spend $800-$900 to get a new Yamaha integrated amp with similar power output to what you have now but it would have more modern digital features like a built in DAC.

How much would you want to spend for a big jump? Are you thinking more power, more features, or both?

As input I build by myself raspberry pi 4 + protoDAC with further plan to extend the build by iancanada parts so other features as integrated DAC are not necessary. I do not need to buy anything new streigth from store as many ppl as audiophiles are positivity crazy and sell in good prices good equipment just to try something else ;).

    1. I would say that 800-1000 EUR is not a problem.
I could spend such money for something which will be really good and for something which I could also use for my future dream -->R700
Here I would appreciate few models with short description what to expect which I could search

    2. Something more affordable just for S60's at the moment I don't want to say what I have on mind and just read what You propose

No one is willing to share some thoughts in affordable price range ? So I will share my thoughts what I think off:
    -MF m3si
    -Cambridge cx81
    -Yamaha A s801

Any other recommendation with small characteristics ? What do You use to power the polks S60's ?

And what would You say if in future I would buy Polk R700 ?
What You would recommend than and what price range I have be ready ?

Preferences are natural sound not colored and I like bass but polks has planty of it so I think non of amplifiers will hurt it - right ?

I'm not really understanding what you are asking.

FYI, the sound of every piece of audio gear is colored.

Just looking for confirmation if it will be also ok for r700 in future or maybe it's better to add 500eur more and buy something better. In such price ranges I have completely no idea how it sound and if there is a difference which can be hear clearly or it's about 1% improvement. Anyway thank You very much for You time.

No doubt, the MF M5si is the better one, for now and the future, so if it is in your budget you should get that one. It is a big step up.
