I recently got some new polk audio speakers. I am kinda on a budget, and want to get good cables and what not, but not spend a ton.

I bought this spoil of wire on ebay, it comes with banana plugs, but I bough some more.
Here is their links

Are these good or bad, or what?

Those plugs look really good. I like the 10 awg ability especially. Even if you dont' use wire that thick you should have more surface area available for a better connection.

Just be careful to not use them in a situation where they are too close to each other or could be jostled. They appear to be built so that the center pin is separated form the housing, but a stray strand could energize that housing. This done on + & - speaker terminals that are in close proximity, give them a twist to check out the back and buzz-zap - instant short. Be careful.

I have no probs the compression pushes all cable upwards around the top pin and not out the holes. very clean and easy to use

you could use heat shrink to protect it all as well and make it look purrty

    They will work just fine.

Should have no probs. Acoustic research makes very solid useable products. They won't win any audio awards, but they are a good cut above generic wire. I have a set of AR interconnects from Best buy that I use for my sub and center outs from my SACD out to my receiver. For the price they are well built and don't appear to take anything away from the signal.
The bannanas may have a propensity to loosen, especially if you are rocking the house. Give the screw on part a twist from time to time to see if it is loosening.
