Polk monitor 10a

Hello, I am new to the forum. I have a chance to buy a pair of monitor 10 a that are completely stock. No modifications no upgrades everything original. I would imagine the capacitors would need to be replaced. What is a fair price for these speakers? They are in A1 condition.

Too much, IMO. However, looking at eBay prices those are slightly less.

Where are you located? Prices on these can be all over the place and vary widely depending on location. In the Baltimore/Washington DC area they are sometimes super cheap. I paid $75 for a clean pair of 10A's with Peerless tweeters. I see a pair available now for $100, and they include stands.

$150 in excellent condition with all drivers working. Make sure the midwoofers are not frozen.

Thanks so much guys for all the great info! I’ll make him an offer. I also have a chance to buy a pair of what I believe to be the Polk 5 jr?
It has an 8” radiator,6” mid and I believe a peerless tweeter but for some strange reason he painted the cabinets white! Asking 100 dollars. Offer 25-30?

I believe that is a Monitor 5. The monitor 5jr had a port, 6.5" driver and a tweeter. The monitor 5jr+ had a 6.5" driver AND 6.5" passive with a tweeter.

    Thanks Pitdogg2,
As I said, they are painted gloss white for some odd reason. What do you think would be a fair price? He is asking $100.

Has anyone listened to the monitor XT20 ? They seem to be getting good reviews. Have a chance to buy for around 200 new.

Sterling Heights Michigan,a suburb 25 miles north of Detroit. The Monitor 10’s are down to 250. I offered 150 with stands but he didn’t go for it
