Magnifi max ax sr poor bass?

While i use the my system for the movies it is not a problem but when i want to use it for music, even with music mode and bass boosted to the maximum on the equalizer bass still remains very silent. I would love to boost bass without boosting overall volume levels. I can feel that subwoofer has a lot of power left to play more bass but without increasing volume level it is very low. Not sure if they can improve this with a firmware update?
Only other audio set i had in the past was 'classic' logitech 5.1 speakers set for my PC and i was able to boost there bass a lot so whole house was moving, would like to have such possibility with Polk too.

Sound tracks in movies have boosted/artificial bass. Music doesn't.

Room placement has a great deal to do with the quantity of bass any sound system can produce. Try placing the Polk subwoofer close to a wall or corner in the room. This will dramatically increase bass response.
