Question about where I can buy Polks

Well I was browsing the websites of CC and GG to see what they have listed for Polk. CC has a lot of Polk products but they dont' have the RT55i listed on their website. Do they still carry it, or are they gone already and hopefully I can find a left over pair at one location. Also GG doesn't have any Polk stuff listed, but I know for a fact that I listened to a pair of Polk speakers there not two months ago. Do they just not list Polk on their website or what?

    Crutchfield.com
I buy 90% of all my equipment and speakers with them. Can't give them enough praise. Awesome service.

I wanted a place that I could LISTEN to the 55's though. I don't like GG anyways. The salesman are like jackals there ready to pounce on you once you enter the door. Just leave me alone and let me browse the store! :)

Has anyone had any buying experiences from Brand Namez.com? They seem to be a good bit less expensive than CC. where I usually buy from.
    Thanks

Thanks for your help. I've already bought a 245i and the 25's. I would have saved almost $100 bucks less the shipping had I known about Brand Namz. I'm looking at the 800's now.
This forum is way over my head (I'm a rookie at this) but there is a lot of good info and I'm learning something new each time.
    Again, thanks for the help.

the 800's are great speakers. you can actually get those for $598/pair at CC, so that is probably your best bet now. shipping would add alot on those. i have 800's as my mains and i love them. paired with a cs400i center and 35i's and 25i's for surrounds. the 800's are a good decision....

nevermind, brandnamez has them for $550 for the pair! and $34 for shipping(max). that's cheaper then the tax and CC. $584 shipped for these, man thats a good deal!

    crutchfield has great service
    but usually higher prices
and you can get service from them without buying from them anyways
i would go with either www.cbrstereo.com or www.carstereotime.com
carstereotime doesnt always have the lowest prices but they will beat any price and can usually save you 20-30 bucks

I like my 55's. I canned my 2000's for my front end and am using the 55's up front the 35's as rears and 500's as sides. I like the sound the 55's produce when tied with the 650 sub. Now, if anybody is interested in the 2000's, which are 11 months old, I live in Chesapeake, VA. Let me know, make me an offer I can't refuse! Gordo

I am just starting my home theatre and I decided to go with polk speakers. I have already purchased a set rt800is as my mains and a set 35is as my rears. I also just ordered the cs400i for my center. I was wondering if you guys could tell me if the psw350 is going to be enough low end for my system and if ya'll think I am going to be happy with the other choices I made. I would also love any suggestions on a good but reasonable receiver to top it all off.

    thank you

earnest poole - if you use your system for alot of HT, i think you may benefit from going with the psw450 over the 350. as for the rest of your set-up, i think you will be very happy with the results! i am running the same system right now, plus rt25i's paired with the 35i's for rear surrounds.

nunzio - you would proabably have better luck posting in the 'flea market' or 'car audio' forums...

Poole .... my set up exactly. I am on a crawl space and found the base to be pretty nice with out a sub at all.... I thinkI will get one eventually but i find that a house on a crawl space reonates a little when you amp up your 800i's. I will have to admit that I'm not a bass junky I prefer good clean music....soundwise that is ... and nayway you can't go bass heavy at midnight with a 3 year old sleeping above you.....

I originally had a PSW350 paired up with my RT800i's and CS400, using it for music and HT. The room is fairly large and open to much of the rest of the house. I found that it was easy to overtax the PSW350 with movies, and for music it just didn't sound as tight as I had hoped. Upgraded to the PSW650 and am extremely happy with the setup for both music and HT.
