Greetings from the way back machine......audio is virtually a non-existent thing so I've been focused elsewhere......

I have had an APC S20 that has been more problematic than helpful lately, and it's to the point of not working and I'm done trying to get it fixed.

I need to replace it, but I'm not sure what's the best stuff out there that's not a PS Audio $5k+ thing. I know Panamax, Furman (same company now), but in digging around I've seen Audioquest, and a few mentions for beefed up rack mount type of power strips (as I'm typing this, cannot find the tab I had open), but what are y'all using and do you like? I have a cyberpower mini-tower thing for my desk/office stuff, but not sure if it's good for HT where you have amps (which is stupid to ask because I haven't turned on my amp in a year, but you never know....ha).

One thing I did like about the S20 was the battery backup aspect so everything doesn't shut off when there's a blip, but an all-in-one unit is probably a no-go at this point. Do any of you use battery backups? Surge protector into something like a CyberPower? My only concern about the CP was i didn't know if would work well for high current HT stuff.

Thoughts? Suggestions? TIA

Take a look at the new Audioquest PowerQuest 707. I think that replaces their Niagara 1200 model but has more outlets. Not too expensive in relative terms. One perspective:

Hey Brett, SurgeX makes some very good products. You might also consider a whole house surge protector.

I don't know much, but I have two panamax units both purchased used on fleabay and they both function well and haven't given me any problems knock on wood...

One is an M5400-PM (and the other is 5300 I think). I got then because they had good reviews and were one of the few in my price range where you could switch out the power cord to the unit. I always kinda wondered what the point was of using nice upgraded power cords to a surge protector with a built-in who-knows-what quality power cable 😂...

Bump. I'm in the market too. Anything out there like the old PS Audio Duet or Soloist?
