FS: KEF bookies

Purchased these brand new sealed box in May 2023 from Crutchfield for $2,200:
tbas38qfnh0m.png

Stunning initially limited edition Indigo Gloss finish, which is now backordred. Hard to photograph this high gloss finish, but they are in like-new/open box condition, used for under 20 hours and put back into their box.

The only thing to distinguish them from brand new will be the unavoidable light fingerprints on the finish, from when I was putting them back into their factory packaging materials. Grilles never used and still in packaging.

Great sounding speakers, but just rotating some pairs through that aren't getting used.

Asking $1,600 shipped for established members. Please PM if interested, thanks.

Yeah the finish is pretty stunning in person. My crappy photos don't really do it justice.

Arguably the most noticeable thing about these speakers is how well they do the seamless wall of sound effect. If you move your head several inches, or even stand up and walk about the room, the imaging and "locked in" sensation doesn't really change. KEF really put a lot of thought/effort into the off-axis performance and dispersion patterns.

This makes them a great option for less than ideal rooms/setups, where you have to place speakers in a certain spot due to necessity. And when set up correctly, this means that they'll perform that much better.

Superb sounding speakers. I had the KEF R3 (non Mets) for a few years & man oh man did I enjoy them. You are spot on accurate about how well they sound even way out of the sweet spot. That gloss blue finish is stunning. The photos simply don't do them justice. Really hard to pull off with photos.
The Meta version of the R3 makes a noticeable difference over the original R3 which were fantastic!
Your pricing is superb & I'm surprised no on snagged them yet.

Man I love that color. My Reference 1's do not come in that color. When I was deciding between R3 Meta versus the Reference 1 non-Meta's I own, that gorgeous indigo almost got me to pull the trigger on the R3. This is a sweet deal.

Hey thanks for the advice. But I recently got a pair of these. I have always been curious about Kef and these ones sound great, and they have a nice punch.
