Well I figured you'd still be listening to your New Kids On The Block tapes.

I'm pretty sure "Naturally" 1970 was one of my first purchases on a format new to me, 8-Track. I had mostly 45's prior to that. I played the heck out of it and maybe 7-8 other tapes. About a year later an under dash 8-track player was added to whatever beater I was driving then. The '66 GTO would be in the
    summer of '73.

    Trois Chien Soir?

They had an amazing string of 18 Top 20 singles IN A ROW. Three of those were number 1s, 11 were Top 10, and 9 were Top 5.

I have a great CD compilation of them. https://www.discogs.com/release/3545967-Three-Dog-Night-Celebrate-The-Three-Dog-Night-Story-1965-1975

But yeah, I would be fine never hearing "Joy to the World" ever again.

Love that band. It’s amazing how many of their songs people attribute to other artists. Great musicianship, song writing and performance.

    Man, great history.
I'll have to check that one out.

I was listening to some other stuff earlier, and Three Dog Night came up, and I remembered a couple of tracks I like. I haven't listened to any full albums yet.

I did realize, decades after the fact, that I liked Three Dog Night before I even knew who they were. Buck Rogers in the 25th Century had Buck demoing music from his time for someone in one of the episodes, and the track was Shambala.

Also did not at that age realize how hot Wilma Deering was. Princess Ardala or Wilma Deering? Psssh, I'd've been changing sides weekly. (shaddap @Viking64)

Great info guys. I'll have to check out more of their stuff. I don't think I realized they were so popular. I don't recall hearing anyone talk about them.

Nope, just a big fan of both, growing up, my parents had an 8 track tape that had songs of both bands, and it would get played all the time when we would go camping, I fell in love with the music..

This Discography is where I got their Billboard chart information. If you look at the singles, you get a great idea of just how successful they were. Plus, it gives you links to just about every album and single if you want to read more.

Yep. I heard "LIAR" on the radio yesterday, and had to remind myself that it was TDN.

Sure as I'm sittin' here, Mama told me that Eli's coming to celebrate with one black and white old fashioned love song because the show must go on.
