Tell you what, this has to be the closest thing in real life to Gru's vehicle.

If I hit that Mega, I might have to travel up north for this gem.

Screenshot for posterity. Some other photos there. (No FB account required to view)

That's actually kinda neat. I'd like to check it out and take it for a spin. I like that center-drive position and the panoramic view.

He says no trades, so don't try to swap him for a John boat or AR. It's on FB afterall, not CL.

I just think its pretty retro-effing-cool...
FYI: I am also the type who would prefer to hit the road in a restored-modified 1950s Greyhound bus converted into a motor home over one of the new RVs.
For the uninitiated, I'm talking about something like this: https://offerup.com/item/detail/1d28d93a-9c68-37aa-a27c-809e2822483f

Here in my part of the country, It'd be converted to a mobile BBQ grill/smoker. Admittedly, I'd be a frequent patron.

Are you the one who bought that converted Greyhound bus?! That's pretty cool!

And I agree, the retro ("out there" during its time) look of the GM is fantastic!

No, it wasn't me. I was semi-obsessed about getting a cheap bus and doing a DIY conversion about 5 years ago. I was hooked on a YouTube channel called Bus Grease Monkey. I have since come to realize that the RV/Bus lifestyle might not be for me, but I still like looking at the retro conversions.

I extracted this from the original Despicable Me.

This one was restored to what it was originally including the interior display.

Many years ago I landed a job with a Co. that remodels stores of all kinds. Big money renovations all across the USA. The head of this K-Mart reno was a GREAT guy and super intelligent too.

Well, he traveled around in his personally remodeled Greyhound bus.

He and his wife had me and Nancy over for burgers one night ( best burgers I think I've ever had by the way) and he gave us a tour of his Yacht on wheels. He was about 50 or so when I worked for him but in his youth, he worked as a boat interior Woodsmith. Teak wood cabinet, table and door and whatever maker extraordinaire!

His Greyhound interior was like a yacht's interior. :oB) Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! workmanship everywhere from front to back and in-between too. :o I 99% believe his wife did all the furnishings' textile work. This was 1st class workmanship by both!

They were so humble and easy to sit with that night.

He impressed me with his leadership skills every day I worked under him for about 6 months!

I hope him and his wife are still alive and enjoying their dream of retiring on their huge estate they had in Virginia.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
