A long overdue Thank You

Those of us who have been here for a while know what a great place this is, and I need to give yet another example of the greatness.
Earlier this year, Brian @erniejade sold his Tri-Vista. I was late to the party and didn't snag the Tri-Vista (congrats Don @dromunds), but I posted in the for sale ad that the Tri-Vista or the Norma IPA-140 were my end game. Drew @Clipdat sent me a pm letting me know that he had a Norma if I wanted it. I knew I couldn't afford it unless he was basically giving it away, but I asked how much he wanted for it anyway. His price wasn't give-away, but it was good enough that I knew it was attainable, which I wasn't expecting. I told him I'd love to have it, but that it would take me a few months to save up for it. His response was that it was in his closet and to let him know when I was ready to buy.
At this point, I started selling off gear (and other things) to fund the Norma purchase. The next thing to happen is a long story and I will not share any details at the request of a member who has asked to remain anonymous. Bottom line is the generosity of this member allowed me to get the Norma much sooner than I expected.
I can't thank Drew and (anonymous member) enough for their generosity that has allowed me to have a system that I never thought possible. I've listened to my system more in the past couple of months than I'd listened in the past year combined. I need to write a review of the Norma, but the detail amazes me every time I listen. It's crazy to be listening to a song and hear a back-up singer that you'd never heard before or actually hear both distinct voices when two singers are harmonizing. There's also something about what I hear with guitars, I guess specifically backing guitars. There are just things that I can hear now that I was never able to hear before and it's just so enjoyable to listen. I would be missing out on all of this if not for Drew and (anonymous member).
A special tip of the cap to Skip at AudioThesis for introducing me to Norma in the first place. If not for him, I'd have never heard of Norma or Rosso Fiorentino. Skip also assisted with the sale of a center channel speaker that helped fund this purchase. Additionally, he came through with a replacement remote when my uncharacteristic bad packing of a remote rendered it useless for the buyer of an integrated I sold.
Life in my modest little listening room is better than I ever expected, and I thank those of you at CP who have helped me along this wonderful journey. I consider many of you friends and I look forward to many more years of good conversation and great music.

Man, I tell ya'. THIS is what makes this hobby so much fun! It doesn't happen very often when you can make an observation like this, but when you can? It's time to just sit back and enjoy the tunes like you have never experienced them before.
Congrat's on your latest toy and happy listening! 😎👌
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
That's awesome and truly is what makes this place great- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

You're welcome! Glad it's making music and sounding good instead of sitting here in the box. Enjoy!

Paul, that is a great story. Things that people do to help us are heartwarming.
I am happy for you.
