It took me many years and several component upgrades before I started to notice a difference in what I was hearing when trying various cables. I can imagine that someone with a mediocre system and zip cord speaker wire having difficulty discerning the sonic signature of interconnects and power cords and thus arguing that it didn't make a difference for them, so it must be bunk. Hey, I'll let you know, I have only the BEST hangers in my set up. All triple wrapped with heavy duty foil...and none of that cheap crap, I use RENOLDS wrap. And when my friends come over to listen to music and say, "Dude, your system always sounds so good, how do you do it?" I just sashay over to the pantry and pull out that big roll of foil and say, "It's all in the wrapping technique baby"

What a waste of time. If you can't hear how cables impact your systems delivery then you should save your money on cables and buy better equipment and then start at the beginning of cables again. Me personally, I can't hear the difference between cables, yea I know I have $#!^ gear.
Well, I wouldn't exactly say that. You do have some nice gear (and a LOT of systems). If you don't hear any difference, count yourself blessed IMO. Your wallet thanks you profusely! There are many reasons why one would not hear any difference and without hearing your systems first hand, I couldn't even begin to explain to you as to why.
With that said, you are doing yourself and others a disservice by listening to people like that person on the video you shared. I watched it, right up until the point that he claimed that cables don't make any difference at all. Then I responded. 20, 30 years ago, this would have definitely been a heated debate. Since then, many folks have tried out different things when it comes to cables and many of us have discovered that his stance is simply laughable at this point in time.
All you have to do is look at Trey's (@VR3) PC thread found here >>> https://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/200276/interest-check-power-cable-beta-test/p1 or maybe you missed the Snake River Audio demo program thread....found here >>> https://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/199530/the-official-club-polk-snake-river-power-cord-demo/p1
While these threads do not offer anyone definitive and scientifically undeniable proof that they do, they do offer empirical evidence that even a simple PC swap out can make a change. Whether or not it is a good change or not, that's up to the listener, his/her preferences, their ears/hearing, what they actually listen for and also system synergy.
Some people observed the same things, others noticed hearing different things.....but, at the end of the day, they all heard something different.
Heck, my streaming audio journey took off like a bat out of hell when I heard a difference in an Ethernet cable swap out. A year and a half later and now the streaming rig goes head to head with one heck of a physical digital front end. That's something I never thought possible....all over an Ethernet cable swap at a price difference of about $7.00 between the cables.
Other folks tried the same cable in their rig and the response back to me was that 50% heard a difference (some with very favorable changes) and the other 50% basically saying that the swap out didn't amount to a hill of beans.Does it matter when my office system is fully wireless audio, B&W Formation Duo and Bass.
Do you mean Bluetooth?

I've tested both Bluetooth and Airplay2, no issues with either.
I've tried blind cable tests before, a dealer was swapping out cables in the equipment chain both power and HDMI. A difference of $100 vis a $1500 and I couldn't tell. I tried to have an honest and open mind through but my senses didn't pickup degradation or improvements or differences.

I am not familiar with Airplay2, so I cannot comment but when it comes to Bluetooth? Here is what Denon has to say...Denon wrote:This compressed audio format results in data loss and, consequently, poor sound quality.
So, you are leaving a lot on the table for why you wouldn't be able to hear any difference, at least on your office rig, that is.

Apple Airplay2 is an enhancement over Airplay. Latest versions can support lossless audio playback at 24bit/48kHz.
I measure every system I have with REW, not the best, you can see room modes 1/3 smoothing in there but it sounds pretty good.

WHAT???🦻🦻🦻 -
I hear differences mainly from speakers and to a lesser extent electronics. On the speakers, doing this blind, I know what my different rooms sounds like and what I like best about them. Doing electronics, I took my McIntosh out of the loop and powered my L800 with a Martin Logan Forte and yep, the Forte sucked. Doing it blind I’m sure I can tell. But if the only thing changing are the cables and doing it blind, nope, pretty hard for me. I can also tell the difference between a digital stream and the vinyl.
BTW that measurement above is in room at my MLP of the BW Formation Duo and Bass using REW over Airplay. DSP is pretty amazing what it does for deep bass in my office.
can you guess which system this one is?

F1nut,
You are correct with your clue. The speaker is very sweet and wonderful, can really go full range and not need a sub but falls short of rocking out and playing loud without compression. It’s one of the systems that doesn’t need to go very loud, just meant to be enjoyed moderately.
