Right where I was since purchasing the Blue Sound Node. Still need to install the PS board. Good news is the new place is almost ready. We are starting to move some things in. It'll still be awhile before I have the rig set up.

I will be starting a separate thread for input on where the best set-up in the room could be. Short walls with lots of distance behind the listening position or long wall w/ not so much distance behind the listening position.

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. For the last few years I have been using bluetooth from my Macbook to a dongle directly on my amplifier. Just a few weeks ago, I subscribed to my first ever paid service, Tidal. I then learned that I was getting compressed files through bluetooth, so I purchased a Wiim Pro Plus and now use the Macbook to run the Wiim app and the Wiim feeds analogue direct to my amplifier. I notice ever so slight of a quality improvement (not worth the change for me), but not having ads and having basically an unlimited catalogue is priceless. Very much enjoying it!

@heiney9 I just installed a power supply upgrade in my Node 2 and the improvement was well worth the effort. I ordered two linear power supplies, one 5v for the Node, and one 12v for the Cambridge DAC Magic 200. Absolutely no regrets! I think I can live with this setup for a while now. I was really bummed about the SQ from the Node by its self when I first plugged it in and used the internal DAC, but with the external DAC and upgraded power, what I'm hearing is very pleasing.
