    Ultimately you are saying they understate the 8 ohm spec to meet the marketing idea behind of doubling output as the impedence drop.

    Fair enough. I have no problems with that kind of marketing though, it's hard to fake raw current.

    This is much better then amps that state 100watts in their advertisement and you go digging it is 4 ohms bridged 10% distortion down stream on a rainy day with lightning strike reinforcement.

    Exactly what I'm saying, at least you are getting more power into the 8ohm rating than you thought.
