Last week I found a nice one owner Denon DCD-1520 here locally. The reviews i could find were very favorable for this model. The operation is flawless, loads and reads CD's almost instantly. The sound has been superb. Great sound stage and musical sound, not bright, maybe tends to be on the warm side, instrument separation is very good. Non fatiguing and just a joy to listen to CD's thru this. Came with original remote and owners manual. Happy with this one and hope it continues to work for a good while. I have about 1000 CD's, but also enjoy vinyl.

Nice player, I'm sure it sounds great. I have a Denon DN-C680 which also uses their "Super Linear Converter" chip.

Does 1K CDs seem excessive? I'm sure I surpassed that 30 years ago and have kept growing. My server has over 2300 folders (typically each for a CD). Boxes and boxes...

Craig, that is a nice looking Denon! They were among the best of the era as far as mainstream what came from the mainstream manufacturers.

Nice CDP! AND it has its remote, SCORE! I to have one and used it as my daily until it stopped spinning up the CDs. Mine didn't come with it's remote or manual but it was given to me for free, so. I have to agree with the sound signature, pretty warm and big bodied sound for sure.
