Seeking Dreadnought or Avel Lindberg AV-047548 1000VA Transformer, so I can build one

in Wanted (WTB) Classifieds
Wanted to buy: Ready-made Dreadnought (1000 VA preferred, but 800 VA considered) or Avel Lindberg AV-047548 1000VA transformer with which I might build my own.
Purpose: Interconnect SDA 1.2s that are powered by non-common-ground amplifier.

    800va is an off the shelf item at Avel-Lindberg keep in mind.

    I'll build another dreadnaught case for the 800VA tranny in 2 weeks that I'll put up for sale here.

    Warning to all: I was nearly SCAMmed in an effort to purchase a transformer.

    A user named, "doyleedward" PM'ed me, advising that another individual had a transformer to sell.
    Long story short: my financial institution flagged the referred party's destination account as a potential fraudster and blocked an attempted funds transfer -- saving my bacon.

    When I came to my senses, I checked and found that this user had joined Polk Audio Forum only 10 minutes prior to sending me the PM. Pretty obvious that he was simply trolling this forum (and others) for potential WTB victims, like me. I curse myself for not having thought to check him out, first.
    Judging from the speed with which he took this otherwise tech-savvy/scam-aware user from "**** has what you're trying to buy" to my happily trying to send funds, the SCAM must frequently pay out.

    My lessons:
    • Ensure anyone offering to sell you goods via the forum is an established user with a correspondence track record
    • Demand proof of product
    • Avoid re-directs to unknown parties
    • Select payment methods that offer redress, if at all possible
    ...and seriously reconsider this search for the "holy grail" of transformers :D

    It is a WELL KNOWN problem! We have entire threads on it.
    @RyanC_Masimo ban this putz @doyleedward pronto and his ip address

    Why Polk continues to allow our FS/WTB threads go out to third party sites like hifishark is just ludicrous. How many more times must we have members here get scammed by these dirtbags.
    Also I'd like to know why we can't implement some sort of minimum number of posts a member must have before they can PM anybody, we had it before and it worked very well! How about working hard to see if we can implement that again. How about say 25 post before you can send a PM to anybody.

    Once again I'd think seriously about the 800va off the shelf.
    I've had both and it's seriously not a huge improvement over the 1000va. It's definitely not worth getting scammed over.

    FYI to @RyanC_Masimo and @pitdogg2: Userid @76kingking joined the forum, immediately before PM'ing me and directing me to an off-line email address to locate a transformer. This has all the signs of playing the same game that @doyleedward did, previously. Unless @76kingking can confirm they are legit, I recommend blocking them from the forum.

    Its a scam, that 76sissyking is trying to scam several here tonight, I reported him earlier trying to scam me.
