Center channel crossover

I'm curious, do most people like their center channel to emit tangible bass from voices? I realized something seemed to be annoying me a while back, and it was that sometimes a deeper voice would give off a weak but noticable bass response from the center, which I found distracting.

Now that I am able to set each channel at a different crossover, I've found that 120Hz for the center elminates this and just gives crystal clear dialogue. While I know and agree that "what sounds best to you is the way to go", I'm just curious if most people leave their centers at 80Hz and aren't distracted by the vibration from deep voices?
