about 15 yrs ago... i rolled my car.. weird thing is that when your car is tumbling and rolling.. it's like it's happening in slow motion.. very weird.

I was driving down a two lane highway.. and this coyote ran out in front of me.. i swerved, and over corrected.

I was fine.. just a small bump on my head. car was a 1984 Mazda RX-7 decked in leather .. lovely car. till i totalled it. Waaaaaaaaaaa!

Yep...In 1988...actually it was 8/8/88...I remember it well. It was either an unlucky day or a very lucky day. If I hadn't had my seat belt on I would be dead now. Actually I would have been dead THEN! :D
I had a 1987 Ford Ranger Extra Cab 4 x 4. It only had 16,000 miles on it and was my pride and joy. I was coming down a hill towards an intersection going about 50 and was in the right lane of a 2 lane road (2 lanes each direction) . The light turned yellow and I was close enough to hit the gas to make it when this dumb **** lady in the left lane inexplicably chose to change lanes and make an immediate stop on yellow. This happened just as I hit the gas. I hit the brakes and they locked on me. This was just before they started putting anti-lock brakes on everything. There was some sand and fine gravel all over the road from a construction site off to the right and I fishtailed and slid towards the embankment on the right, plowed right through a sign post, spun backwards and flipped 3 times....like you said....in slow motion. I couldn't believe it was happening, but there was no panic or anything because it happened so fast. The truck landed on it's wheels and facing backwards to the direction I was traveling. I ended up with 3 stitches in my left eyebrow where my head must have hit the door jamb. The truck was demolished and when I finally got home I had glass even in my underwear.

BTW....I had a 1980 RX7 for awhile. Nice car and I would think damn near impossible to roll. What up with that?
On the other hand this truck was a rollover waiting to happen :(

First off, I've learned my lesson that I will NEVER swerve to avoid an animal (unless it's a REALLY big one). When the choice is my car and survival or theirs, they're gonna lose EVERY time.....(based on experience, not on Al's story)

I haven't actually rolled my car.......but I did fall asleep doing 85. (can't type it all now.....will later tomorrow night)

I did a 1979 Pinto. I think it was around 1988, and I had just bought the car maybe a week before. I was going too fast, and needed brake work on the car.

The car actually did a cartwheel and rolled 3 times before coming to rest against a telephone pole. totaled ain't the word...

I walked away with a couple of scratches. Man, I still count my blessings.

didn't roll but was able to catch some air on a GMC Astro !! landed on a 3ft by 4 ft big A$$ concrete block !! avoided a car on a dark dirt road near a cottage, ended up going in the ditch hitting the gas (so we wouldn't roll the van) catching air on the way out of the ditch and landing on the big block !!!

I rolled my '95 Camaro about 5 years ago. A goddamned deer jumped out in front of me. I managed to avoid it but when I tried to bring the car back into my lane to avoid the oncoming traffic, it fishtailed and I went off a 10 foot dropoff. The front left corner of the car caught the gound and sent the car rolling two times I think. I just had a big bruise on my waist from the seatbelt, but my friend hit his head on the passenger side window and was picking glass out of his scalp for a week. Everybody was okay though.

ive never rolled my truck but a friend of mine has...it was night and the turn sign was down...
flipped her 1992 Chevy Z-71 2 and a half times around 2 am
there were 4 of em in there...i think the most serious injury was a bruised rib and a jammed wrist
they had to crawl out the back window to get out
they landed in a muddy farm field
the wrecker came, flipped the truck back over on the tires from the road
then he climbed in the cab, started the truck, put it in 4wd and backed it up to the wrecker
    i love GM:)
the truck was totaled because it had bent the frame a little

The running theme among people who have flipped their vehicles is driver error. Not saying that anyone is a particularly bad driver, but all it takes is a moment of bad judgement (or a string of moments...) and then you're like "WTF just happened here?"

I'm not immune from these moments, either. I've had one accident involving snow/ice and not exactly ending up where I should've. Also, the other day I let my attention wander to a nice car I saw alongside the road and drove over into the other lane around a blind corner. Thank God noone else was coming. Felt like a real dumbass on that one.
    Ludicrous gibs!
